Ever had an allergic reaction to something as simple as a carrot?
I have.
For years, my life was a constant cycle of allergy flare-ups and inflammation. Eating a raw carrot would make my lips swell. If someone was cutting potatoes nearby, my throat would itch and my eyes would water. I relied on allergy medication, but nothing seemed to improve.
Then, in 2004, I was diagnosed with Celiac disease.
That diagnosis changed everything. I committed to taking control of my health through food, adopting a gluten-free and Paleo lifestyle. For the first time in years, I felt like myself again—not just a body constantly reacting to everything around it.
But there was one problem: finding snacks that actually tasted good.
Especially protein snacks.
I didn't believe eating clean should mean sacrificing flavor.
Fortunately, Glen happens to be a master when it comes to meat.
He got to work creating a jerky that checked every box: tender, flavorful, high in protein, low in sugar, lower in sodium, and completely free from the top allergens. For the first time, I had a snack I could enjoy without worrying about how my body would react.
The more we shared it, the more we realized there was nothing else quite like it.
So we decided to PREVAIL.
Today, our mission is simple: make clean, delicious, allergen-friendly protein snacks that everyone can enjoy with confidence.
Real food changed my life. And I know I'm not alone. Millions of people live with food allergies, autoimmune conditions, and dietary restrictions every day. Life can be complicated enough.
