Our Story

Are you familiar with the struggle of allergic reactions? It got to the point where I couldn't even enjoy a simple carrot. Allergy flare-ups seemed to be a never-ending part of my teenage years.

The mere act of being in a room where someone was cutting potatoes would make my throat itch and my eyes water uncontrollably. I relied on allergy medication, but it never provided any real relief. My body was constantly inflamed.

In 2004, I received a diagnosis of Celiac disease and decided to take charge of my health by making significant changes to my diet. I embraced a gluten-free and Paleo lifestyle, and it made me feel like a human again rather than just a vessel for allergies.

However, finding tasty snacks proved to be quite the challenge. This was especially true when it came to protein snacks. I tried every kind of jerky within the confines of my diet, but they all lacked flavor. Clean eating shouldn't mean sacrificing taste!

I longed for real, wholesome food for both myself and my kids. Not those so-called "natural" products filled with artificial ingredients that are impossible to pronounce.

Fortunately, my husband Glen has a knack for turning meat into masterpieces. He took on the task of creating the most delectable, tender jerky that was also allergen-free. Finally, I could satisfy my snacking desires to my heart's content.

We soon realized that our jerky was one-of-a-kind. It checked off all the boxes: high protein, low sodium, low sugar, allergen-free, unique flavors, and an unbelievably tender texture.

That's when we decided to take on the challenge and come out on top.
